Make one of our favourite fabulous drinks from our cocktail list, The British Royale. Made with a British sparkling product very close to our hearts, Coates & Seely, and our own homemade British blackcurrant cassis.

For the cassis:

  • 500g blackcurrants
  • 170g sugar
  • 500ml brandy

Method:

1.Add all the ingredients into a kilner jar and put on a shelf near a window, stir every few days.

2.After around a month you will have a deep berry coloured liquid, sieve the liquid to remove the berries.

3.Add a 25ml shot to a beautiful glass of English sparkling (perhaps a Coates and Seely Britagne Brut Reserve NV) and you are good to go.

Can’t wait that long? The sugar dissolves after around a week so if you are desperate to try it then there is no harm in cracking it open. The longer it sits the more punch the flavour will be.
